ExxonMobil Manufacturing Process Engineer in Beaumont, Texas

Job Role Summary

Manufacturing Process Engineer for the Polyethylene Manufacturing facility, responsible for initiating and leading improvements to unit performance in safety, production, and reliability. Provide technical and operational expertise, addressing complex processes. Support various capital projects and global technology. This position is located at the ExxonMobil Polyethylene Plant in Beaumont, Texas.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Interface directly with Operations team to drive unit improvements

  • Proactively identify issues prior to operations impact and troubleshoot complex unit problems

  • Optimize energy, chemical, and catalyst utilization for business unit

  • Work closely with supply chain and business to execute production plan to meet customer demand

  • Support planning and field execution of planned turnaround / unit outages

  • Organize and design plant testing and product trials

  • Provide high quality technical support to address day to day operational issues and customer concerns

  • Support development of closure plans for identified risks

  • Support incident investigations, safety and quality

  • Support various capital projects and technology improvements

  • Initiate and support Management of Change

Job Requirements

  • BS in Chemical Engineering

  • A minimum of 2 years of Chemical Engineering manufacturing technical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Polymers manufacturing

  • Experience with Projects and Management of Change

  • Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to resolve operational problems

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and promote change to achieve desired results

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
