ExxonMobil XTO Maintenance Foreman (Carlsbad, NM) in Carlsbad, New Mexico

JOB SUMMARY

  • Works with completions, construction, and operations, to maximize productivity and prepare wells for operation by the production team

  • Leads flowback set up and tear down ( welders, hydrovac, roustabouts, flowback companies ) to make sure XTO expectations are met. Monitoring invoices for accurate reflection of field work performed.

SAFETY SENSITIVE (DPOS)/DOT

  • The position you are applying for is regulated by the Department of Transportation or has been internally designated by ExxonMobil / XTO as safety sensitive / safety critical.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides operations surveillance, interfacing with completions and construction personnel, to aid in scheduling new wells being put on production.

  • Coordinate with Senior Management on operations daily activities

  • Daily monitoring and management of crews and operators collecting data on new wells.

  • Daily operations of natural gas compressors, dehydration units, loading and unloading of water and condensate trucks, and operations of pipeline facilities including, but not limited to, ROW patrols, pigging, and gas leak surveys.

  • Checks proper condition of wellhead equipment prior to putting a well on production, including completions, artificial lift, electrical, construction, and automation/telemetry installation.

  • Immediately report any SSHE concerns up through the chain of command

  • Provides troubleshooting and supervision of inspection, repair, and pressure testing of equipment.

  • Ensures routine maintenance services are performed safely and per specifications

  • Provides guidance and ongoing training for Operations Tech; trains field personnel as needed

  • Assist management in identifying contractors for potential services required to carry out directives and objectives

  • Perform electronic invoicing approval and appropriately manage the company’s business model

  • Perform all DPOS company protocols

  • Responsible for engaging in and promoting a strong safety culture.

  • Use SCADA systems to monitor operations.

  • Ensure proper lockout/tagout procedures

  • Write and document various permits associated with daily activities.

  • Monitoring invoices for accurate reflection of field work performed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Commitment to our safety culture and environmental standards.

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must view safety as a value.

  • Working knowledge of P&IDs, natural gas compressors, dehydration units, and SCADA systems.

  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills in WellView, Microsoft Word, Excel, and emai

  • Must be able to work in extreme outdoor conditions, work flexible hours and on-call rotation as required.

  • Must be certified to work at heights using appropriate fall protection.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Previous maintenance and oilfield experience preferred (>5 years)

  • Current certification in Well Control

  • Ability to lead a diverse work group

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Knowledge of surface & subsurface mechanics for multiple artificial lift applications.

  • Good driving record and ability to drive a compay vehicle

  • Working knowledge of P&IDs, natural gas compressors, dehydration units, and SCADA systems.
