PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING REQUIREMENT
This job requires pre-employment testing. Please read the job description in its entirety for instructions on completing the pre-employment assessment. The assessment must be completed by February 13, 2022, 11:59PM, CST.
A Laboratory Equipment Specialist is responsible as the custodian of test equipment in assigned laboratory areas to maintain equipment and spare parts, coordinate vendors, conduct and document calibrations, preventive maintenance and assessments per schedule.
Custodian of test equipment in assigned areas.
Maintains inventory of bulk SQC materials.
Administrator of instrument applications/software and instrument continuity plans.
Custodian of instrument maintenance and maintenance schedules.
Train Technicians on assigned instrument operation and assist in validating technician computer-based training materials.
Provide work direction to lab technicians in regards to maintenance, calibrations, repair, …etc. of lab equipment.
Maintain test equipment, spare parts and vendor coordination in assigned areas.
Conduct and document calibrations, preventive maintenance (PM), and method compliance assessments per schedule.
Correct and/or follow-up on identified discrepancies or improvements in test methods.
Perform approved LIMS changes and acceptance testing.
Maintains inventory of bulk SQC materials.
Administrator of the controlled documents system and change records where listed as the document/system owner.
Custodian of the instrument applications (including CDS) for assigned lab section.
Maintains instrument applications ID access and maintenance (where required).
Participates in instrument applications access reviews and risk assessments.
Primary contact and resource for PM system requirements for assigned lab area.
Administrator of the PM schedule for assigned lab area.
Reports PM performance and PM improvement plans for assigned lab area.
Administrator of the instrument/equipment operational status for assigned lab area.
Undergrad STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience OR greater than 5 years of experience
Candidate should have mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of on-line analyzers and instrumentation is beneficial.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING INSTRUCTIONS
This Operations and Mechanical (O&M) position requires pre-employment testing. After applying you will receive a pop up giving you access to the assessment. You may take the assessment at that time or utilize the instructions below to access the assessment at a time convenient for you. Note that the assessment must be completed by the deadline in order for you to be considered for the O&M position for which you have applied.
The O&M test has been revised. Effective December 1, 2021 ALL candidates must complete the revised assessment. Even if you have tested within the last 365 days (passed or failed), if you tested before December 1, 2021, you must complete the revised assessment to be considered for this O&M opportunity. Failure to complete the assessment by the deadline will result in your disqualification from consideration for this position. The assessment is the same for all O&M requisitions. If you have completed the assessment after December 1, 2021, your assessment results will be mapped to this requisition when you try to access the test. Test passed candidates will be screened by the hiring team and a subset invited for interview. Note that a satisfactory result on the assessment does not guarantee an interview.
