ExxonMobil Communications Advisor in Houston, Texas

Job Description

The communications advisor will develop communications materials for ExxonMobil’s global external and internal audiences, including internet/intranet articles, podcasts, videos, as well as executive speeches, presentations and internal communications plans for senior leadership to drive greater awareness of business activities and employee engagement. They will help develop and manage the communications strategy and channels for the corporation and assist in the planning and production communications events. This individual will play a key role on an innovative, integrated communications team operating in a fast-moving environment collaborating with other groups within ExxonMobil.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

This person will be a creative self-starter with communications experience in a global organization and will have experience copy editing. Other requirements include: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience, including in journalism, public relations, or related areas. Strong written and verbal communications skills, editing skills and solid experience developing presentations, articles and audio, video and visual communications materials. Experience working with subject matter and translating technical content into digestible communications for broad audiences. Knowledgeable on the latest internal and external communications trends and tools. Experience working with senior leaders, demonstrating an ability to influence without authority. Strong project-management skills with an ability to multi-task and remain flexible when priorities change. An understanding and respect for international protocols and cultural differences. A positive, proactive team-oriented attitude and familiar with the working environment of a large, global organization.
