ExxonMobil Federal Income Tax Compliance Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst in Houston, Texas
Job Role
ExxonMobil is seeking individuals with a minimum of 2 years U.S. federal income tax experience for an available position as a Tax Analyst or Senior Tax Analyst. This position is an integral part in ensuring the accuracy of US federal income tax compliance along with the ability to adapt to legislative changes in real-time. This position requires a strong understanding of federal income tax laws and regulations and their effects. Candidates must have the ability to learn systems such as SAP and CorpTax and the capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Positions will be in Spring, Texas.
Job Responsibilities
Analyzing and completing tax adjustment calculations and documentation
Preparing and timely filing returns, estimated payments, extensions, etc.
Partnering with Controllers and other functions on US tax provision activities
Communicating issues, results, and opportunities clearly and effectively
Providing federal income tax compliance support for planning and income tax audit
Researching and evaluating tax laws and regulations in relation to business activities
Through these activities you will build a strong working network across the finance function and with other business groups. You can expect to be involved in federal income tax issues spanning different worldwide operation locations as well as an array of entity types. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. A degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s) in Accounting is preferred
Minimum of 2 years US federal income tax compliance experience
Demonstrated analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop in-depth knowledge of systems such as CorpTax, SAP, and other analytic tools
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines independently
Preferred Skills, Abilities, & Knowledge
Experience preparing and filing U.S. Federal Income tax returns
Knowledge of accounting systems (SAP); ability to retrieve, organize and analyze operational and accounting data
