Job Role Summary
ExxonMobil is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to provide reservoir engineering expertise for Unconventional oil and gas development projects. The candidates will be responsible for working with multi-discipline teams to support optimal asset development and operations, leveraging fundamental reservoir engineering skills in reservoir description, development planning, opportunity generation, and production optimization. Unconventional reservoir engineers are exposed to many facets of our unconventional resource, starting with acreage acquisition, through planning for and executing development, development optimization, and production surveillance. The position is located at ExxonMobil Spring campus in TX.
Job Role Responsibilities
KEY: Willingness and ability to model / simulate Unconventional developments
Collaborate with asset teams to optimize the plan for development, including: Uncertainty assessments and identifying appropriate diagnostic data/tests to narrow uncertainty, Full life cycle Volumes forecasting, Securing drillwell funding, and optimizing development for midstream facility capacity
Conduct field studies / reservoir modeling to demonstrate and apply newly developed technologies and workflows

Technical skill requirements are as follows:
NECESSARY
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required - preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering
Eclipse / INTERSECT Reservoir Simulation experience, including developing and updating / history matching models
Fluid Sampling and Core Analysis
Previous experience in analytical performance prediction, asset development and depletion planning, reserves assessment, reservoir surveillance & optimization, volumes forecasting, economic analysis and data management
PREFERRED SKILLS
Frac modelling & Geomechanics experience – History match and predict fracs (Kinetix)
Frac Surveillance
Reservoir Surveillance (RTA)
Operations (Production) Engineer experience
Enhanced Oil Recovery
Petrophysics
