ExxonMobil Operations Engineer (Midland, Texas) in Midland, Texas

JOB SUMMARY

  • The Operations Engineer supports maximizing asset value through wellwork, completions, and production optimization

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for working with the field, support, and development teams to optimize and execute wellwork, completions activity, and production of their assigned field areas

  • Work closely with Operations personnel to implement any required changes in procedures

  • Support Operations Superintendent with diagnosis and forward plan during complex operations

  • Track and analyze operational costs

  • Prepare workover/completions procedures and support the field team during day to day operations

  • May provide well surveillance and optimize artificial lift systems to maximize asset value

  • Analysis of data to diagnose or predict potential production and artificial lift issues

  • Potential tendering for services and equipment

  • Ensuring compliance with business controls

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Engineering

  • 3 – 10 years’ experience (minimum 3 years’ experience in a related role)

  • Self-directed with the ability to recognize/pursue solutions required to solve problems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of wellwork/completions execution and equipment

  • Familiar with well integrity concepts and application

  • Good computer skills

  • Strong analytical capability

  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and exciting work environment

  • Demonstrates initiative
