ExxonMobil XTO Contracts Lead in Midland, Texas

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement and oversight of all Project Engineering materials, including movement of those materials and equipment and processing invoices against material

  • Track equipment schedules and assure delivery to Project locations

  • Manage MRO procurement activities including supplier relationship interfaces

  • Work closely with Project Engineering clients effectively and efficiently

  • Negotiate commercial terms with Suppliers

  • Execute work in accordance with functional procedures, including those contained in the XTO Purchasing & Contracting Guide and Procurement and Inventory Management Guide

  • Lead RFQ development and evaluation, negotiations, supplier selection, and award recommendations

  • Support operations and/or facility engineers with planning requirements

  • Develop, leverage, and share market intelligence to enhance effectiveness of commercial decisions

  • Will require some travel to field / yard and project construction locations for materials management

Expected Level of Proficiency

  • BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, and or other applicable business degree desired

  • Minimum 5 years of Oil and Gas or Procurement experience

  • Strong Analytical, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Contracting experience a plus

  • Procurement/Commercial functional expertise in oil and gas industry including midstream

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, strict attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel

  • Team player with excellent organization and communication skills, work ethic, initiative and an independent thinker

  • Ability to research and verify data integrity using multiple sources of data

  • Ability to multi-task and accurately record details into systems and handle high volumes

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

  • Understanding of Unconventional Oil and Gas Business

  • Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills

  • Commodity specific knowledge – oil and gas engineered equipment, midstream and pipeline project materials
