ExxonMobil Contracts Lead - OEM in Spring, Texas

Job Role Summary

A Contracts Lead has overall responsibility to manage contract life cycles by driving value and efficiency, while ensuring operational integrity. This role supports the procurement needs for Machinery, Instrumentation and Controls, and Electrical categories within ExxonMobil. A Contracts Lead will own and manage global and USA-regional agreements with top-tier OEM suppliers in these categories

Job Role Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a portfolio of agreements

• Process execution, full compliance with ExxonMobil controls culture

• Support Procurement organization in development and implementation of category specific strategy and commercial guidance

• Provide portfolio-specific information to Category Managers and other Contract Leads

• Steward tactical Client relationship for key portfolio activities

• Supplier relationship management

• Identify business value and agreement rationalization opportunities within the portfolio

• Ensure transactional efficiency of agreements (enterprise resource planning friendly agreements)

• Active contribution in Category networks and use of category-specific information

• Support Contract Leads at other sites / regions as agreed with Category Managers

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Procurement / commercial functional expertise

• Understanding of client business and objectives

• Familiarity with/experience in procurement for the oil and gas industry

• Leadership skills

• Communication skills

• Analytical skills / understanding of total system cost concept

• Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills

• Knowledge of purchase to pay process including enterprise resource planning systems

• Project planning / execution skills

• Category specific knowledge including: machinery, instrumentations/controls, electrical

Job Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees

• Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills

• A minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) of contracting experience

• A minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) of O&G sales or procurement experience
