ExxonMobil XTO Plant Operator (Tioga, ND) in Tioga, North Dakota
Plant Operators provide operations support for the Nesson Gas Plant facility. Plant operators work a 12 hour shift with day and night rotations. Plant operators monitor, maintain, and report conditions to ensure the safe operations for the facility.
A plant operator must have the ability to acquire process knowledge and understand all aspects of plant processing fundamentals.
To work as an outside operator learning the gas process piping flows, various gas processing piping equipment and process instrumentation and other applicable equipment to have the ability to gain all of the required knowledge for operations.
Train for board operator position which consists of all controls & equipment associated with the facility.
Perform routine shift rounds and make necessary adjustments to maintain the facilities safe operation.
Operating facility to stay within regulatory compliance requirements to maintain our license to operate.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Understanding of process piping equipment, flow paths, instrumentation, controls, control systems, and safety systems.
Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Must be able to communicate, and work with other personnel, departments and crafts including third party.
Computer skills required for daily logs, spreadsheets and DCS controls.
Some knowledge of basic programs required (excel and data entry).
Must be able to work 7 on/off, 12 hour shifts.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds to a height of 42 inches.
Must be able to climb equipment ladders and work at heights.
Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures
Understand the process principles and the ability to effectively read & understand PIDs.
Display a positive attitude and provide a healthy work environment for the team.
Apply good verbal and written communication skills.
Some industry experience or process training preferred.
Preferred basic working knowledge or formal training in gas plant processing operations with work experience in compression, dehydration, amine, TEG, and refrigeration.
Mechanical skills associated with maintenance, trouble shooting equipment, repair and operations of natural gas processing, conditioning equipment and related components and instrumentation.
7on-7 off, 12 hour shifts, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Day), 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. (night). Shift rotation is Wednesday morning.
