Pre-Employment Testing Requirements
This Operations and Mechanical (O&M) position requires pre-employment testing. After submitting your application for this position you will receive an email with the link to complete the online assessment. If you have already taken the assessment within 365 days, you do not have to retest. Your test scores will be transferred to this requisition. If have not completed the test previously, please ensure that you complete the test by the indicated deadline.
DOT Safety Sensitive
The position you are applying for is regulated by the Department of Transportation or has been internally designated by ExxonMobil as safety sensitive / safety critical.
Accordingly, if you receive a conditional offer of employment for such a position, you will be required to undergo a pre-employment process, which includes, among other things, a background check. Depending on the presence of drug or alcohol related convictions on your record (if any), you may not be eligible for hire into this position.
In addition, if you pass the pre-employment process and are hired, you will be expected to undergo random drug and alcohol screening in addition to other requirements associated with the position.
The Sr. Electrical Technician is responsible for keeping all electrical power supplies and equipment operational. The Electrician ensures proper installation of equipment and that all applicable codes, regulations, ISO Procedures, and EHSMS procedures are adhered to. The Electrician will have on call emergency responsibilities Monday through Friday, including emergency and regular on calls and operational issues. The Electrician may be required to provide relief to other Electricians in their work area.

Additional Knowledge Required
Knowledge and background in PLC’s, flow computers, communication systems, and HMI’s.
Experience in programing PLC’s.
Understand how to calibrate and install various equipment such as temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters, flow meters, tank level gauges, and control valves.
Knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 24volts to 2300volts.
Knowledge of valves and MOV actuators – installing, repairing, setting limits.
Motor and motor control’s knowledge.
Mechanical knowledge of working on pumps, meters, provers, and piping
Ability to wire complex control circuits from schematic wiring diagrams
Demonstrate knowledge of electronic theory and PLC principles
Demonstrate working knowledge of DOT, ISO, EHSMS, NEC, and OSHA regulations
Maintain acceptable attendance and EHSMS record
Maintain inventory of all electrical operating equipment and spares
Troubleshoot low, medium and high voltage power circuits
Perform maintenance with minimal down time to the operation
Perform to highest safety standards, including reporting all incidents and discrepancies
Ability to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures
Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively
Ability to operate hand tools or other pipeline equipment to accomplish assigned tasks
Able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic
Must be willing and able to attend/complete required training courses
Must be willing and able to work in small team environments
Must be willing and able to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures
Must have safe driving skills
Must possess a valid driver's license
